Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ME1 (Malic Enzyme 1) is an important enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of malate to produce pyruvate and NADPH, playing a crucial role in cellular metabolism and redox balance. The enzyme is found in various organisms, including plants, animals, and microorganisms, with implications in metabolic pathways such as the citric acid cycle and gluconeogenesis. Research has shown that ME1 is involved in multiple physiological processes, including energy production, lipid metabolism, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) regulation. Dysregulation of ME1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders, prompting investigations into its molecular mechanisms and potential as a therapeutic target. Understanding the structure, function, and regulation of ME1 is essential for elucidating its role in health and disease. Advances in recombinant protein technology have facilitated the production of ME1 for detailed biochemical and structural studies, aiding in the exploration of its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and interactions with other metabolic pathways. As a result, the study of ME1 not only provides insights into fundamental metabolic processes but also has the potential to uncover new avenues for disease intervention and metabolic engineering.
