Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MBD4 (Methyl-CpG Binding Domain Protein 4) is a member of the family of proteins that specifically bind to methylated cytosines within CpG dinucleotides, playing a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression and maintaining genomic stability. Its primary function involves recognizing and repairing DNA damage at methylated sites, which is essential for preventing mutations and realizing normal cellular processes. Dysregulation of MBD4 has been implicated in various human diseases, including cancer, where abnormal DNA methylation patterns can lead to silencing of tumor suppressor genes. Researchers have focused on characterizing MBD4's structural features and understanding its interaction with other proteins involved in DNA repair pathways. The study of recombinant MBD4 proteins has become increasingly important, as it allows scientists to elucidate the functional mechanisms by which MBD4 contributes to epigenetic regulation and DNA integrity. By producing and analyzing these recombinant proteins, researchers aim to develop potential therapeutic strategies for diseases linked to epigenetic alterations, highlighting the importance of MBD4 in both basic and translational research in molecular biology and cancer therapeutics.
