稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCBD1 (pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 1) is a crucial enzyme in the metabolism of tetrahydrobiopterin, a cofactor essential for the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Research surrounding PCBD1 is primarily driven by its relevance in various neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders, including phenylketonuria (PKU) and schizophrenia. Mutations in the PCBD1 gene can lead to disruptions in neurotransmitter production, potentially resulting in cognitive impairments and other neurological complications. Moreover, PCBD1 is involved in the regulation of the GTP cyclohydrolase 1 pathway, which is important for the synthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin. This positions PCBD1 as a potential therapeutic target for novel treatments aimed at restoring neurotransmitter balance. The recombinant protein studies of PCBD1 help elucidate its functional mechanisms and interactions with other biomolecules, enabling a deeper understanding of its role in metabolic pathways. Investigating the structure-function relationship of PCBD1 through recombinant protein expression not only enhances our comprehension of its enzymatic activity but also paves the way for developing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for related disorders. Additionally, as PCBD1 exhibits potential as a biomarker for certain diseases, ongoing research in this area continues to explore its implications in health and disease. The growing emphasis on understanding the molecular aspects of PCBD1 positions it as a significant focus within biochemical and biomedical research, aiming at addressing the unmet clinical needs associated with neurotransmitter deficiencies and related conditions.
