Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PICP (Procollagen I C-terminal Propeptide) is a crucial biomarker in the field of collagen metabolism and bone and connective tissue disorders. Research into PICP mainly revolves around its role as a specific indicator of collagen synthesis, providing insights into the dynamic processes of bone formation and remodeling. Elevated levels of PICP are often associated with conditions that promote increased collagen synthesis, such as osteogenesis and certain pathological states like fibrosis and osteosarcoma. Conversely, diminished levels may signal impaired collagen production, which can be linked to osteoporosis and other degenerative diseases. Given the increasing prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders worldwide, understanding PICP’s biological function and its potential as a therapeutic target or diagnostic tool has gained significant interest. The development of recombinant PICP proteins has opened new avenues for research, facilitating the study of collagen-related diseases and the exploration of therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing tissue repair and regeneration. Recent advancements in genetic engineering and protein expression systems have paved the way for producing optimized PICP variants, which can help in elucidating the mechanisms underlying collagen metabolism and the modulation of associated signaling pathways. As the demand for effective biomarkers and treatments for collagen-related disorders continues to rise, ongoing research on recombinant PICP holds promise for improving clinical outcomes and advancing our understanding of connective tissue biology.
