Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DNAJC5, a member of the DnaJ (Hsp40) family of chaperones, has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its critical role in protein folding, cellular stress responses, and neuroprotection. Mutations in the DNAJC5 gene have been implicated in various neurodegenerative disorders, particularly a rare early-onset form of dementia known as frontotemporal dementia with Parkinsonism due to the presence of tau pathology. Research on recombinant DNAJC5 protein offers insights into its molecular mechanisms and interactions; understanding these can elucidate its function in maintaining proteostasis and preventing protein aggregation. Furthermore, DNAJC5 is involved in the regulation of synaptic transmission and has been linked to the pathology of several neurodegenerative conditions, making it a potential therapeutic target. Therefore, the study of recombinant DNAJC5 not only provides a platform to explore its chaperone activity and interaction with misfolded proteins but also serves as a foundation for developing interventions that could mitigate client protein aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases, highlighting its multifaceted roles in cellular health and disease.
