  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LATS2, or Large Tumor Suppressor 2, is a crucial protein in the Hippo signaling pathway, which plays a significant role in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and apoptosis. The dysregulation of LATS2 has been implicated in various cancers, where its tumor-suppressive functions are diminished, allowing unchecked cellular expansion. Recent research indicates that LATS2 exerts its effects through controlling the activity of transcriptional co-activators such as YAP/TAZ, which, when overactivated, drive oncogenic pathways. Investigations into LATS2 have highlighted its potential as a therapeutic target, as restoring its function may reinstate normal cellular controls and inhibit tumor progression. Additionally, studies have explored the structural and functional properties of LATS2 through recombinant protein expression, aiming to elucidate its mechanisms and interactions at the molecular level. Researchers are employing various biochemical and biophysical techniques, such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, to visualize the molecular architecture of LATS2 and its complexes. Understanding the precise role of LATS2 in the Hippo pathway and its interactions with other regulatory proteins could provide insights into novel strategies for cancer treatment, making it a promising focus of ongoing biomedical research.
