Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PLOD3, or procollagen-lysine, 2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 3, is a critical enzyme involved in collagen biosynthesis, particularly in the post-translational modification of collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, playing a crucial role in maintaining the structure and integrity of various tissues, including skin, bone, and cartilage. Research into PLOD3 has gained attention due to its implications in connective tissue disorders and fibrotic diseases, where abnormal collagen deposition leads to tissue dysfunction. Additionally, PLOD3 is associated with processes that affect cellular behavior, such as proliferation and migration, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in cancer and wound healing. As extracellular matrix components are pivotal in cell signaling and tissue repair, understanding the function and regulation of PLOD3 could provide insights into disease mechanisms. Recent studies have highlighted its role in enhancing collagen stability and cross-linking, which can influence tissue mechanics and resilience. Consequently, the exploration of PLOD3 as a recombinant protein not only aims to elucidate its biochemical properties but also seeks to harness its potential in biomedical applications, including tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Understanding the detailed molecular mechanisms of PLOD3 can lead to novel strategies for modulating collagen-related diseases, offering new avenues for clinical treatments and interventions.
