Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PLOD2 (Prolyl 4-hydroxylase domain-containing protein 2) is an important enzyme involved in the post-translational modification of collagen, a crucial protein in connective tissues. It catalyzes the hydroxylation of proline residues in collagen, which is essential for the stability and tensile strength of collagen fibers. Abnormal PLOD2 activity has been associated with various pathological conditions, including fibrosis, cancer metastasis, and cardiovascular diseases. Recent studies have highlighted its role in regulating extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling and cellular responses to hypoxic environments. Given its significant implications in both health and disease, the recombinant expression and purification of PLOD2 have become a focal point for researchers aiming to understand its functional mechanisms and potential as a therapeutic target. By generating recombinant PLOD2 in suitable expression systems, scientists can study its enzymatic activity, interaction with collagen and other ECM components, and elucidate its role in disease progression. This research not only advances our understanding of collagen biology but also opens new avenues for the development of novel treatments targeting ECM-related disorders.
