Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRTAP4-5, a member of the keratin-associated protein (KRTAP) family, plays a crucial role in the structure and function of hair and skin. These proteins are involved in the formation of the intermediate filament network that contributes to the mechanical resilience and protective properties of epithelial tissues. Understanding KRTAP4-5 and its functions has implications for both basic biological research and clinical applications, particularly in dermatology and hair follicle biology. Mutations or dysregulation of keratin-associated proteins have been linked to various skin disorders and hair pathologies, making KRTAP4-5 a candidate for further investigation. The recombinant expression of KRTAP4-5 allows for in-depth studies of its structural properties, interactions with other keratins, and the mechanisms underlying its role in keratinization processes. Furthermore, by exploring its potential implications in conditions such as alopecia or other skin disorders, researchers aim to contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies and a better understanding of epithelial biology.
