Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRTAP21-2 (Keratin Associated Protein 21-2) is a member of the keratin-associated protein family, which plays a significant role in the structure and function of hair fibers and skin. These proteins are crucial for the formation of the outer layer of epithelial tissues, contributing to their mechanical resilience and protective properties. Research on KRTAP21-2 has gained attention due to its potential implications in various dermatological conditions, hair disorders, and genetic skin diseases. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying KRTAP21-2 expression and function can reveal insights into the biology of keratinocytes and the pathogenesis of related disorders. Recent studies have employed recombinant protein techniques to express and characterize KRTAP21-2, allowing for in-depth analysis of its biochemical properties, interactions with other structural proteins, and contributions to hair follicle biology. This research not only aids in elucidating the fundamental roles of KRTAP21-2 in skin and hair physiology but also paves the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting hair loss, skin healing, and other disorders associated with keratin-associated proteins.
