  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MED20 is a crucial component of the Mediator complex, which plays a significant role in the regulation of gene expression by serving as a bridge between transcription factors and RNA polymerase II. Research on MED20 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, and response to environmental stimuli. Dysregulation of MED20 has been implicated in several diseases, particularly in cancer, where it can affect the transcription of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, thereby influencing tumorigenesis. Furthermore, studies have shown that MED20 can interact with key signaling pathways, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant expression of MED20 in various systems allows for detailed studies of its structural and functional properties, paving the way for understanding its role in normal biology and disease. As research progresses, elucidating the mechanisms by which MED20 operates and interacts with other molecular players will be vital for developing targeted treatments and enhancing our comprehension of gene regulation at a molecular level.
