Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KLC4, or kinesin light chain 4, is a protein belonging to the kinesin superfamily, which plays a crucial role in intracellular transport by assisting motor proteins in cargo movement along microtubules. Research into KLC4 has gained attention due to its potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, where abnormal protein transport and aggregation may disrupt cellular homeostasis. KLC4 serves as a regulatory subunit for kinesin-1, facilitating the binding of various cargoes, including organelles and signaling molecules, essential for maintaining cellular function. Understanding the structure and function of KLC4 is vital for elucidating its role in these pathological conditions. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of KLC4 to explore its functional properties and interactions with other proteins. By employing techniques such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, researchers aim to decipher the molecular mechanisms underpinning KLC4’s involvement in motor activity and cargo recognition. Additionally, investigating KLC4’s expression patterns in different tissues and its modulation in disease contexts may reveal novel therapeutic targets. Thus, KLC4's multifaceted biological significance makes it a promising subject for further exploration in cellular transport research and its broader implications in human health and disease.
