Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LY6D (Lymphocyte Antigen 6D) is a member of the LY6 family of proteins, which are characterized by a conserved LY6 domain and are believed to play significant roles in immune response and cellular signaling. Recent research has highlighted the importance of LY6D in various biological processes, including T cell activation, cancer progression, and potential implications in autoimmune diseases. The expression of LY6D is notably elevated in several cancer types, suggesting it may serve as a biomarker for tumor detection and a target for immunotherapy. Studies have also indicated that LY6D can influence tumor microenvironments and the behavior of immune cells, pointing to its dual role in both promoting and inhibiting tumor growth. As a result, the recombinant expression and characterization of LY6D protein have garnered attention to understand its structure-function relationships, its interactions with other proteins, and its potential as a therapeutic target. Using techniques such as recombinant DNA technology and protein purification, researchers aim to produce functional LY6D proteins for further biochemical and biophysical studies. Understanding the role of LY6D in immune modulation and tumor biology may contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies, particularly in enhancing the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy and addressing immune-related disorders. Thus, LY6D remains a promising candidate for further exploration in the fields of cancer research and immunology.
