Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KIF2C, a member of the Kinesin superfamily, is a motor protein primarily involved in mitotic processes such as chromosome movement and spindle dynamics during cell division. Its essential role in cellular mitosis has drawn significant attention in cancer research, as aberrations in cell division can lead to tumorigenesis. Specifically, KIF2C facilitates the proper alignment and segregation of chromosomes, thus ensuring genomic stability. Overexpression of KIF2C has been observed in various cancers, correlating with poor prognosis and aggressive tumor phenotypes. Consequently, researchers are investigating KIF2C as a potential therapeutic target. Studies focused on the recombinant expression of KIF2C protein aim to elucidate its functional mechanisms and interactions at a molecular level. By producing KIF2C in sufficient quantities, scientists can analyze its structure, dynamics, and interactions with other cellular components. These investigations are crucial for understanding how KIF2C contributes to cancer progression and may lead to the development of targeted therapies that inhibit its function, potentially reducing tumor growth and improving patient outcomes. Thus, the recombinant KIF2C protein serves as a valuable tool in both basic research and translational medicine, shedding light on the intricate processes of cell division and the molecular underpinnings of cancer.
