Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ISOC2, or Isocitrate dehydrogenase 2, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, which is essential for cellular respiration and energy production. Recent research has highlighted the importance of ISOC2 not only in metabolic processes but also in various pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. ISOC2 is known to catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate, generating NADPH in the process, which is vital for maintaining cellular redox balance. Studies have shown that mutations and dysregulation of ISOC2 can lead to altered metabolic states, promoting tumorigenesis and affecting neuronal functions. As a result, the recombinant expression and purification of ISOC2 have become key areas of interest for understanding its structure-function relationship and developing potential therapeutic interventions. Biochemical characterization of ISOC2, including its kinetic properties, substrate specificity, and regulatory mechanisms, provides insights into its role in metabolism and disease. Additionally, the production of ISOC2 as a recombinant protein offers a valuable tool for drug discovery, enabling high-throughput screening of small molecules that could modulate its activity and potentially serve as treatments for related pathologies. Overall, the investigation of ISOC2 as a recombinant protein not only enhances our understanding of fundamental biochemical pathways but also opens avenues for novel therapeutic strategies targeting metabolic dysregulation in various diseases.
