Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KCNMB1, known as the beta1 subunit of the large-conductance calcium-activated potassium (BK) channels, plays a crucial role in modulating the physiological and pathophysiological functions of these channels. BK channels are essential for various cellular processes, including smooth muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and neuronal excitability. The KCNMB1 protein specifically influences the channel's sensitivity to calcium ions and voltage, thereby regulating the conductance properties and kinetic behavior of BK channels. Research into KCNMB1 has gained significance due to its implications in various diseases, including hypertension, vascular disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. Understanding the structure and function of KCNMB1 through the production of recombinant proteins allows scientists to probe its mechanistic role in BK channel modulation and to explore potential therapeutic targets. The study of KCNMB1 also opens avenues for investigating its interactions with other proteins, post-translational modifications, and its impact on overall channel dynamics, which are critical for developing pharmacological agents aimed at treating conditions linked to dysfunctional BK channel activity. Furthermore, the recombinant version of KCNMB1 provides a valuable tool for in vitro studies, facilitating biochemical assays, mutagenesis experiments, and structural analyses that contribute to the comprehensive understanding of its function in the context of the entire BK channel complex. Overall, the research on KCNMB1 recombination is pivotal for advancing knowledge in cell physiology and developing innovative therapeutic strategies.
