  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Phosphoinositide 3-kinase gamma (PIK3Cb) is a crucial enzyme involved in various cellular processes, including growth, proliferation, and survival, making it a significant player in the signaling pathways of both normal and cancerous cells. Research into PIK3Cb has gained momentum due to its role in mediating immune responses and contributing to the pathogenesis of several diseases, particularly in cancer, where its aberrant activation can lead to tumorigenesis and resistance to therapies. The enzymes belonging to the PI3K family, including PIK3Cb, phosphorylate phosphatidylinositol, leading to the production of lipid second messengers that activate downstream signaling cascades, such as the AKT/mTOR pathway. Due to its pivotal role, PIK3Cb has emerged as a promising target for drug development, with several inhibitors currently under investigation in preclinical and clinical trials. The generation of recombinant PIK3Cb proteins has become a critical tool for elucidating its structure-function relationships and for developing novel therapeutic strategies. By studying the activity, regulation, and interactions of PIK3Cb, researchers aim to understand its specific contributions to oncogenic signaling and immune regulation, ultimately paving the way for targeted interventions that can more effectively combat diseases associated with its dysregulation. This research not only enhances our fundamental understanding of PIK3Cb but also holds the potential for improving patient outcomes through more precise and personalized treatment modalities.
