Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KCNA4, a member of the voltage-gated potassium channel family, plays a significant role in regulating membrane potential and excitability in various cell types, including neurons and muscle cells. Abnormal expression or dysfunction of KCNA4 has been implicated in several pathophysiological conditions, such as cardiac arrhythmias and neurological disorders. The study of KCNA4 recombinant proteins has gained attention as a means to elucidate the channel's biophysical properties, functional dynamics, and interaction with other cellular components. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology to produce KCNA4 proteins in heterologous systems, researchers can investigate the channel’s behavior under controlled conditions, facilitating a deeper understanding of its ion conduction mechanisms and gating kinetics. Furthermore, generating specific KCNA4 mutants allows for the exploration of the structural and functional relationships that are crucial for channel activity. This research is not only pivotal for basic electrophysiological studies but also has implications for developing therapeutic strategies targeting KCNA4-related diseases. The ability to characterize KCNA4’s recombinant proteins in terms of their pharmacological properties and responses to physiological stimuli presents a promising avenue for advancing our knowledge of potassium channel biology and its clinical relevance.
