Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a critical cytokine that plays a pivotal role in the immune response, particularly in the activation of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. It is a heterodimeric protein composed of p35 and p40 subunits, and its production is primarily associated with antigen-presenting cells like macrophages and dendritic cells. Research has highlighted IL-12's potential in cancer immunotherapy, as it can enhance the cytotoxic activity of immune cells against tumors. Additionally, IL-12 is being investigated for its role in autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases, as its modulation can shift the immune response towards a more effective Th1 type response. Recombinant IL-12 proteins have been produced for both therapeutic and experimental applications. These recombinant proteins are essential for studying the biological functions of IL-12, understanding its signaling mechanisms, and exploring its potential as a therapeutic agent. Furthermore, the development of IL-12-based therapies aims to harness its immune-enhancing properties while minimizing adverse effects, paving the way for novel treatment strategies in oncology and immunology. Research continues to focus on optimizing the delivery mechanisms of IL-12, enhancing its stability, and overcoming challenges related to systemic toxicity, thereby unlocking its full therapeutic potential.
