Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PANK4, or Pantothenate Kinase 4, is a member of the pantothenate kinase family, which plays a pivotal role in the biosynthesis of coenzyme A (CoA), a crucial cofactor in various metabolic pathways. Unlike its well-studied counterparts, PANK4 has garnered interest due to its unique tissue-specific expression patterns and potential involvement in metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Research indicates that PANK4 may be implicated in the regulation of energy metabolism, particularly in muscle and brain tissues, suggesting its relevance in conditions such as obesity and insulin resistance. Recent studies have focused on the characterization of PANK4 as a recombinant protein, enabling the exploration of its enzymatic activity, regulation mechanisms, and interactions with other metabolic pathways. By producing and purifying PANK4 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to unravel its biological functions and pathophysiological roles, potentially leading to novel therapeutic strategies for diseases linked to CoA deficiency. Understanding PANK4’s structure-function relationship holds promise for elucidating its therapeutic potential and broader implications in cellular metabolism.
