Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a crucial cytokine in the immune system, primarily produced by T helper cells, mast cells, and basophils. It plays a vital role in regulating immune responses, particularly in promoting the differentiation of naive T cells into Th2 cells and enhancing the production of IgE antibodies, which are essential in allergic responses and asthma pathogenesis. Given its significant role in immune modulation, IL-4 has been a target for therapeutic interventions aimed at treating various allergic diseases, autoimmune disorders, and even certain cancers. The development of recombinant IL-4 proteins has paved the way for in-depth studies on its functions and mechanisms. Researchers have focused on generating IL-4 variants with modified properties, such as altered receptor binding affinity or enhanced stability, to improve their therapeutic efficacy. These recombinant proteins are not only useful in understanding IL-4's biological functions through in vitro and in vivo studies but also serve as potential candidates in designing targeted therapies for conditions characterized by dysregulated IL-4 signaling. Furthermore, the exploration of IL-4’s interactions with other immune pathways has revealed its complex role in balancing immune responses, highlighting the importance of continued research in this area. The ongoing investigation of IL-4 and its recombinant forms may lead to novel strategies for managing immune-related diseases, thus contributing meaningfully to the field of immunotherapy and beyond.
