  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Interleukin-33 (IL-33) is a member of the IL-1 cytokine family and plays a pivotal role in immune regulation and inflammation. It is primarily expressed in epithelial cells and is released upon cellular damage or stress, acting as an alarmin that activates various immune cells, including T helper type 2 (Th2) cells, mast cells, and innate lymphoid cells. Research has shown that IL-33 is involved in the pathogenesis of several allergic and autoimmune diseases, such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. The interest in recombinant IL-33 protein has surged due to its potential therapeutic applications. Studies have indicated that IL-33 can enhance the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines and promote tissue repair mechanisms, suggesting its beneficial role in diseases characterized by chronic inflammation. Furthermore, recombinant IL-33 can be utilized in preclinical models to better understand its biological effects and signaling pathways. As researchers explore new immunotherapeutic strategies, recombinant IL-33 presents a promising avenue for modulating immune responses and developing novel treatments for a variety of diseases associated with dysregulated immunity. This growing body of research underscores the necessity of understanding IL-33’s functions and the implications of its therapeutic potential in clinical settings.
