Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Prokineticin 1 (PROK1) is a secreted protein that plays a significant role in various physiological processes, including angiogenesis, neurogenesis, and the regulation of circadian rhythms. Discovered initially as a prokinetic agent that stimulates gastrointestinal motility, PROK1 is primarily expressed in tissues such as the placenta, brain, and gastrointestinal tract. Research has shown that PROK1 interacts with specific G-protein coupled receptors, notably PROKR1 and PROKR2, leading to various downstream signaling pathways that influence cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. Given its involvement in critical biological functions, PROK1 has been implicated in pathological conditions, including cancer progression, obesity, and reproductive disorders. To further understand its mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications, recombinant PROK1 proteins are being studied extensively. These recombinant proteins facilitate deeper insights into PROK1's structure-function relationships and its interactions with receptors, providing a platform for drug development and therapeutic interventions targeting diseases associated with PROK1 dysregulation. Overall, the investigation of PROK1 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate the multifaceted roles of this protein in health and disease, paving the way for novel clinical applications.
