  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Interleukin-20 (IL-20) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-10 family, primarily involved in inflammatory and immune responses. It is produced mainly by activated keratinocytes and plays a crucial role in skin-related conditions, such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, by promoting the proliferation of keratinocytes and altering the local immune response. Given its significant role in skin pathology and chronic inflammatory diseases, IL-20 has garnered considerable interest as a potential therapeutic target. Research has revealed that IL-20 receptor signaling can exacerbate inflammatory processes, thus making it an attractive candidate for investigation to understand its molecular mechanisms and the development of targeted therapies. Furthermore, the generation of recombinant IL-20 protein has facilitated various studies, including those exploring its structure-function relationships and interactions with its receptors. These studies not only deepen our understanding of IL-20’s role in immune modulation but also offer insights into potential interventions for treating IL-20-related diseases. Consequently, the development of IL-20 antagonists or modulators could hold promise for clinical applications, paving the way for novel strategies in the management of chronic inflammatory skin disorders.
