Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cytokeratin 18 (CK18) is a type of intermediate filament protein predominantly expressed in epithelial cells, playing a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of tissues. The study of CK18 has gained prominence due to its association with various pathological conditions, including cancer, where its expression patterns may serve as potential biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis. In particular, CK18 can be released into circulation upon cellular stress or apoptosis, making it a valuable indicator of tissue damage and disease progression. Research involving recombinant forms of CK18 has focused on exploring its functional properties, such as the role in cell signaling, apoptosis, and the overall cellular response to injury. By producing recombinant CK18, scientists aim to facilitate detailed investigations into its biochemical behavior, interactions with other proteins, and its potential role in therapeutic applications, including targeted cancer therapies and regenerative medicine. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying CK18's functions could lead to innovative diagnostic tools and treatment strategies, thereby enhancing our ability to manage diseases associated with epithelial tissues.
