Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CD56, also known as neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), is a cell surface protein primarily expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and a subset of T cells, playing a crucial role in immune system regulation and cell-cell interactions. Research interest in CD56 has surged due to its significance in multiple biological processes, including immune response, neurodevelopment, and tumor biology. Abnormal expression of CD56 is associated with various conditions, such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and autoimmune disorders. Recombinant CD56 proteins have become valuable tools for studying its function and interactions in vitro and in vivo. Scientists are exploring its role as a biomarker for NK cell activation and tumor immunotherapy, seeking to elucidate mechanisms that could enhance the efficacy of cancer treatments. Understanding CD56's dynamics in immune responses may lead to novel therapeutic strategies and improve patient outcomes in oncological care. This burgeoning field of research emphasizes the need for a detailed characterization of CD56 interactions, affiliations with other immune markers, and its regulatory pathways, ultimately contributing to a better understanding of immune system complexities and potential interventions.
