Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GSTM5, part of the glutathione S-transferase (GST) superfamily, is a crucial enzyme involved in the detoxification of harmful electrophilic compounds, including drugs and environmental toxins. This enzyme catalyzes the conjugation of glutathione to a variety of substrates, facilitating their excretion from the body and thereby contributing to cellular protection against oxidative stress. Recent studies have highlighted the potential role of GSTM5 in cancer metabolism, inflammation, and response to chemotherapeutic agents, indicating its significance in pharmacogenomics. Variability in GSTM5 expression and function can influence individual susceptibility to certain diseases and responses to treatment, making it a target of interest in personalized medicine. Moreover, the reconstitution of GSTM5 as a recombinant protein enables detailed structural and functional analysis, paving the way for better understanding of its biochemical properties and interactions. This research provides insights into how GSTM5 might be leveraged for therapeutic strategies or how it can be implicated in disease mechanisms, further underscoring its importance in both health and disease contexts. The exploration of GSTM5 at a molecular level is expected to offer valuable information for developing novel interventions aimed at enhancing detoxification pathways and combating related health issues, thus elevating the enzyme's status in biomedical research.
