Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) is a nuclear receptor that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism, glucose homeostasis, and the inflammatory response. As a transcription factor, PPARα regulates the expression of genes involved in fatty acid oxidation, thus influencing energy expenditure and overall metabolic health. The receptor is primarily expressed in tissues with high fatty acid catabolic activity, such as the liver, heart, and muscle. Research into PPARα has gained momentum due to its implications in metabolic disorders like obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. The reconstitution of PPARα as a recombinant protein has enabled detailed studies of its function and mechanism of action at the molecular level. These recombinant proteins facilitate the exploration of PPARα's ligand-binding properties and its interaction with co-regulators, which are critical for modulating its transcriptional activity. Moreover, understanding these biochemical interactions has significant therapeutic implications, as PPARα activators, such as fibrates, are already used in clinical settings to manage dyslipidemia. As the incidence of metabolic diseases continues to rise globally, harnessing the potential of PPARα through recombinant technologies may pave the way for novel pharmacological interventions aimed at improving metabolic health and preventing related complications.
