  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GREM1, or Gremlin 1, is a member of the Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) antagonist family and plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and disease pathology. Research has shown that GREM1 is involved in the regulation of cellular differentiation and proliferation, particularly in the context of bone and cartilage formation. Its aberrant expression has been implicated in several conditions, including cancer progression, where it may promote tumorigenesis by modulating the tumor microenvironment and enhancing metastatic potential. Additionally, GREM1's role in signaling pathways that influence stem cell behavior has led to interest in its potential therapeutic applications. The production of recombinant GREM1 protein has become essential for elucidating its complex biological functions and interactions in vitro and in vivo. By utilizing recombinant technology, researchers can obtain high-purity GREM1 for functional assays, structural studies, and the development of novel therapies targeting GREM1-related pathways. Understanding the molecular mechanisms mediated by GREM1 could provide insights into its potential as a biomarker for disease and a target for innovative treatments, thereby enhancing our knowledge of developmental biology and disease mechanisms.
