Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GGCT (gamma-glutamylcysteine transferase) is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of glutathione, a crucial antioxidant that protects cells from oxidative stress and maintains cellular redox balance. Research on GGCT has gained importance due to its potential role in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases, where oxidative stress is a significant factor. The recombinant expression of GGCT provides valuable insights into its functional properties and mechanisms of action. By producing GGCT in a host system, researchers can analyze its activity, stability, and interactions with other cellular components, thereby elucidating its biological significance. Moreover, understanding the structure-function relationship of GGCT through recombinant protein studies may pave the way for the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity for disease prevention and treatment. The development of techniques for the efficient production and purification of GGCT as a recombinant protein is therefore essential for both basic research and potential clinical applications. This research not only elucidates the fundamental biological processes involving GGCT but also contributes to the broader field of redox biology and its implications in health and disease.
