Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GFPT1, or glutamine-fructose-6-phosphate transaminase 1, serves as a critical regulatory enzyme in the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway, which plays a significant role in cellular metabolism and signaling. By catalyzing the conversion of fructose-6-phosphate and glutamine into glucosamine-6-phosphate, GFPT1 contributes to the synthesis of UDP-N-acetylglucosamine, a key substrate for glycosylation processes that affect protein functionality, cell signaling, and structural roles in various physiological systems. Dysregulation of GFPT1 has been linked to several metabolic disorders, including obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes, and certain types of cancer, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Research into recombinant GFPT1 has advanced our understanding of its enzymatic properties, structural characteristics, and how mutations can affect its function. Studies often involve the production of GFPT1 as a recombinant protein, which enables detailed biochemical assays and structural analyses, helping to elucidate its role in metabolic regulation and cell signaling pathways. The ongoing research on GFPT1 aims not only to unravel its basic biological functions but also to explore its implications in disease mechanisms, paving the way for innovative therapeutic strategies in metabolic health and related disorders.
