Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GRIK1, or Glutamate Ionotropic Receptor Kainate Type Subunit 1, is a critical component of the glutamatergic signaling system in the central nervous system, playing a significant role in synaptic transmission and plasticity. Research indicates that GRIK1 is involved in various neurological processes, including learning, memory, and the pathophysiology of several neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric disorders. Due to its involvement in excitatory neurotransmission, GRIK1 has garnered attention as a potential therapeutic target for conditions such as epilepsy, anxiety disorders, and depression. The production of recombinant GRIK1 protein is essential for studying its structure, function, and interaction with ligands and other proteins. This allows for the detailed exploration of how GRIK1 contributes to synaptic dynamics and its alterations in disease states. Moreover, recombinant GRIK1 could be used in drug screening assays to identify compounds that modulate its activity, offering insights into new therapeutic strategies. Overall, the study of GRIK1 and its recombinant protein provides vital information that bridges gaps in our understanding of glutamate receptor function in health and disease, facilitating the development of novel interventions for neurological disorders.
