Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EEF2, or Elongation Factor 2, is a critical protein involved in the translation process of protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells. It facilitates the translocation of the ribosome along the messenger RNA (mRNA) during translation, a key step in protein elongation. Research on recombinantly produced EEF2 has gained prominence due to its potential implications in elucidating the mechanisms of translation regulation and its role in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Overexpression or dysfunction of EEF2 has been associated with altered cellular signaling pathways and protein synthesis rates, leading to pathological conditions. Additionally, EEF2 is a target for certain antibiotics, such as fusidic acid, which inhibit protein synthesis and have potential therapeutic applications. As the understanding of EEF2's structure-function relationships deepens, the development of recombinant EEF2 proteins is essential for detailed biochemical studies, enabling researchers to investigate post-translational modifications and interactions with other translation factors. Furthermore, recombinant EEF2 can be utilized in drug screening assays and for the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting translation dysregulation. The use of recombinant technology offers a reliable and scalable method to produce EEF2 for various applications, promoting advancements in molecular biology and therapeutic interventions in diseases involving translation-related disturbances.
