Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PDE5A, or phosphodiesterase type 5A, is a key enzyme that plays a crucial role in the regulation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels in various physiological processes, particularly in vascular smooth muscle relaxation and neurotransmission. The inhibition of PDE5A is a well-known therapeutic target for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and pulmonary hypertension, leading to the development of popular medications such as sildenafil (Viagra). In recent years, research has expanded to explore the broader implications of PDE5A activity in other conditions, including heart failure, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. The recombinant production of PDE5A provides a valuable tool for elucidating its biochemical properties and therapeutic potential. By generating this protein in recombinant systems, researchers can obtain large quantities of pure enzyme, enabling detailed studies on its structure, function, and interaction with various ligands. This knowledge can pave the way for the discovery of novel PDE5A inhibitors or modulators, facilitating the development of more effective treatment strategies for diseases where cGMP signaling is disrupted. Understanding PDE5A's role at the molecular level may also reveal new biological pathways and mechanisms, opening doors for innovative therapeutic interventions. Overall, the study of recombinant PDE5A is essential for advancing our comprehension of its biological significance and enhancing the repertoire of tools available for pharmacological intervention.
