Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SMTN (spermatogenic meiosis-specific testis nuclear protein) is an important member of the testis-specific nuclear protein family, primarily studied for its role in spermatogenesis and meiosis. The understanding of SMTN has grown significantly due to its implications in male fertility and reproductive health. Research has linked SMTN expression to various stages of spermatogenic cell development, suggesting its critical involvement in gene regulation during meiosis. Abnormalities in SMTN expression have been associated with male infertility issues, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for diagnosing reproductive disorders. Furthermore, SMTN's distinctive expression pattern raises interesting questions regarding its evolutionary conservation and functional significance across species. As the field of reproductive biology advances, the investigation of SMTN's structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms has become a focal point for understanding not only spermatogenesis but also broader aspects of developmental biology and gene expression regulation. Ongoing studies aim to elucidate SMTN's role in chromatin remodeling and its interactions with other proteins involved in the meiotic process, providing insights into the molecular underpinnings of male reproductive health and potential therapeutic targets for fertility enhancement.
