  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DBR1, or Dbr1p, is a key enzyme belonging to the major class of RNA splicing in eukaryotes, specifically involved in the excision of introns from precursor messenger RNA (pre-mRNA). Emerging research has highlighted the importance of DBR1 in maintaining the integrity of the spliceosome, the complex responsible for RNA splicing. The enzyme facilitates the lariat formation during the splicing process, which is critical for removing non-coding sequences from the mRNA transcript. Understanding the structure and function of DBR1 is vital due to its implications in various biological processes, including gene expression regulation and RNA processing. Dysfunction of DBR1 has been linked to several diseases, including certain cancers and neurodegenerative disorders. Moreover, the study of DBR1 is expanding into areas such as RNA-based therapeutics and synthetic biology, where manipulating splicing mechanisms can lead to new treatments and innovations. Recent advances in techniques like CRISPR and high-throughput RNA sequencing have further propelled research efforts to dissect the role of DBR1 in various cellular contexts. Overall, the investigation of DBR1 not only enhances our understanding of fundamental cellular processes but also opens avenues for potential biomedical applications, making it a focal point of contemporary molecular biology research.
