Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cytochrome b5 reductase 1 (CYB5R1) is a pivotal enzyme involved in the electron transport chain, playing a crucial role in cellular metabolism and redox balancing. This enzyme facilitates the reduction of cytochrome b5, which, in turn, is vital for various metabolic processes including fatty acid desaturation and drug metabolism. Abnormalities in CYB5R1 have been linked to several human diseases, notably methemoglobinemia, a condition characterized by the presence of methemoglobin, which impairs oxygen delivery in the blood. Research has increasingly focused on the structural and functional aspects of CYB5R1 to better understand its role in these pathological conditions. Moreover, the production of recombinant CYB5R1 has gained significance for potential therapeutic applications and for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying its enzymatic activity. The development of CYB5R1 as a recombinant protein allows for detailed biochemical assays and structural studies, which facilitate the exploration of its interactions with other biomolecules and its functional implications in metabolic pathways. Understanding CYB5R1 at the molecular level is essential for developing effective treatments for diseases associated with its dysfunction and for exploring its potential applications in biotechnology and medicine.
