Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC30A5, also known as ZnT5, is a gene that encodes a zinc transporter protein, playing a crucial role in cellular zinc homeostasis. Excessive intracellular zinc can be toxic, hence the transport and regulation of zinc levels are vital for various physiological functions, including enzyme activity, cellular signaling, and gene expression. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of SLC30A5 in various biological processes, such as neural development, immune response, and metabolism. Dysregulation of SLC30A5 has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, indicating its potential as a therapeutic target. The production of recombinant SLC30A5 protein offers an opportunity to further explore its structure-function relationship and interaction with other cellular components. Through the study of this protein, researchers aim to gain insights into the mechanisms by which zinc transporters regulate zinc levels in cells, thereby contributing to the understanding of zinc-related health issues. This research not only provides foundational knowledge necessary for potential therapeutic interventions but also enhances our comprehension of zinc's role in human health and disease.
