Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC30A4, a member of the SLC30 family of zinc transporters, is primarily involved in regulating intracellular zinc homeostasis, which is critical for numerous biological processes, including cellular signaling, enzyme function, and gene expression. Aberrant zinc transport is linked to various pathophysiological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. The SLC30A4 gene, located on chromosome 21, encodes a protein that functions as a zinc efflux transporter, helping to maintain zinc levels within cells. Understanding the structure-function relationship of SLC30A4 through recombinant protein studies can provide insights into its role in cellular zinc regulation and potential implications in health and disease. By expressing and purifying SLC30A4 as a recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its biochemical properties, interaction with other cellular components, and its regulation under different physiological conditions. This research not only enhances our understanding of zinc homeostasis but may also contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies targeting zinc dysregulation in diseases where SLC30A4 function is altered. Thus, the study of SLC30A4 recombinant protein is pivotal for uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying its function and its implications in human health.
