Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC26A4, known as the solute carrier family 26 member 4, encodes a protein that plays a critical role in iodide transport and anion exchange in the thyroid gland and inner ear. Mutations in this gene are associated with Pendred syndrome and non-syndromic deafness, conditions that highlight its significance in human health. The study of SLC26A4 recombinant protein focuses on understanding the functional mechanisms behind its transport capabilities, its role in cellular homeostasis, and its contributions to pathophysiological conditions. Through the expression and characterization of SLC26A4 recombinant proteins, researchers aim to elucidate the structure-function relationships crucial for its activity, revealing insights into how mutations alter its function and lead to disease. This research not only advances basic science but also has potential therapeutic implications in developing strategies for treating related hearing loss and thyroid dysfunction. The exploration of SLC26A4 as a target for pharmacological intervention could pave the way for novel approaches in managing genetic disorders linked to this essential transporter.
