Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RTN4, also known as Reticulon 4, is a protein that plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including endoplasmic reticulum (ER) morphology, apoptosis, and neuronal growth. Its expression is primarily associated with the central nervous system, where it has been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis. The study of RTN4 and its recombinant forms has garnered interest due to its potential as a therapeutic target for promoting nerve regeneration and mitigating neuronal loss. The protein is known to inhibit axonal growth, and its upregulation following injury poses a challenge for effective neural repair. Exploring the mechanisms underlying RTN4's function and its interactions with other cellular components is essential for developing strategies to counteract its inhibitory effects, particularly in the context of spinal cord injury and other neurodegenerative disorders. The generation of recombinant RTN4 proteins allows for detailed investigations into its structure-function relationships and can facilitate the identification of small molecules or peptides that may modulate its activity. This research aims to leverage advances in molecular biology and protein engineering to create innovative therapeutic approaches for enhancing neuronal survival and regeneration, ultimately contributing to improved outcomes for patients suffering from neurological impairments. As such, RTN4 represents a pivotal focus within the broader field of regenerative medicine, linking fundamental scientific inquiries with potential clinical applications.
