Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BOLA1 (Bola family member 1) is a protein that plays a critical role in cellular processes, particularly in the context of iron metabolism and hemoglobin biosynthesis. Research has shown that BOLA1 is involved in the assembly of heme groups, essential components of hemoglobin, and is linked to various hematological disorders when dysregulated. The protein has garnered attention due to its significant implications in diseases such as anemia and thalassemia, where inefficient hemoglobin production leads to severe health complications. Recent studies have focused on understanding BOLA1's structure and function at a molecular level, aiming to uncover its interaction mechanisms with iron and other ligands involved in heme synthesis. The development of recombinant BOLA1 proteins facilitates experimental investigations, allowing researchers to explore its biophysical properties and assess its potential as a therapeutic target. By elucidating the pathways involving BOLA1, scientists hope to gain insights into novel treatment strategies for related disorders and improve our understanding of fundamental biological processes associated with iron homeostasis and red blood cell formation.
