Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MFN1 (Mitofusin 1) is a critical protein that plays a fundamental role in mitochondrial dynamics, particularly in the fusion of mitochondria, which is essential for maintaining mitochondrial function and cellular health. Research into MFN1 has gained momentum as mitochondrial dysfunction is increasingly recognized as a key factor in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, metabolic syndromes, and cardiovascular diseases. The importance of MFN1 in facilitating mitochondrial fusion has made it a target of interest for therapeutic interventions. Its role extends beyond mitochondrial dynamics; recent studies also suggest that MFN1 is involved in regulating mitophagy and apoptosis, contributing to cellular stress responses. Understanding the mechanisms by which MFN1 operates could provide insights into its potential as a biomarker for disease and a target for drug development. Additionally, the recombinant production of MFN1 allows for in-depth structural and functional studies, enabling researchers to explore its interactions with other mitochondrial proteins and its modulation under various physiological and pathological conditions. Overall, MFN1's multifaceted roles in cellular metabolism and health underscore its significance in current biomedical research, highlighting the need for continued investigation into its function and potential therapeutic applications.
