Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of CYCS (cytochrome c, somatic) recombinant protein is rooted in its significant role in cellular respiration and apoptosis. As a mitochondrial protein, CYCS serves as a crucial electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, facilitating ATP production through oxidative phosphorylation. Additionally, CYCS is intricately involved in programmed cell death, where it functions as a pro-apoptotic factor, promoting apoptosome formation and initiating caspase activation. Dysregulation of CYCS expression or function is associated with various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, underscoring its importance as a potential therapeutic target. The production of recombinant CYCS allows for extensive studies of its biochemical properties, interactions, and functional mechanisms, enabling researchers to elucidate its role in both healthy and diseased states. Advanced techniques in protein expression and purification facilitate the investigation of mutant forms of CYCS, providing insight into pathophysiological processes. Moreover, recombinant CYCS can be used in drug screening assays and as a model for understanding mitochondrial dysfunction, further emphasizing its relevance in biomedical research. Therefore, the exploration of CYCS recombinant protein represents a vital area of study with implications for understanding fundamental biological processes and developing novel therapeutic strategies.
