Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ICAM5, also known as Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 5, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling within the nervous system. It is predominantly expressed in neurons and is believed to contribute to processes such as synaptic plasticity, memory formation, and neuroinflammation. Research on ICAM5 has gained momentum due to its implications in various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis, where altered adhesion and neuronal interactions are observed. The generation of recombinant ICAM5 proteins has enabled scientists to investigate its structural properties and functional mechanisms in greater detail. By producing these proteins in vitro, researchers can explore their roles in neuron-neuron and neuron-glia interactions, shedding light on how dysregulation of adhesion molecules may lead to pathological conditions. Additionally, recombinant ICAM5 is being studied for its potential as a therapeutic target, providing opportunities for novel interventions in neurodegenerative diseases. Overall, the study of ICAM5 recombination offers valuable insights into cellular communication in the nervous system and holds promise for developing strategies to combat related disorders.
