Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MGST2 (Microsomal Glutathione S-Transferase 2) is an enzyme that plays a significant role in the detoxification of electrophilic compounds and in the regulation of oxidative stress within cells. It is part of the glutathione S-transferase family, involved in the conjugation of glutathione to various substrates, thereby aiding in the elimination of potentially harmful toxins. The study of MGST2 is particularly relevant due to its implications in various disease processes, including cancer, where its expression patterns may influence tumor progression and response to chemotherapy. Research has shown that MGST2 might be upregulated in certain cancer types, suggesting a potential role in tumor survival and proliferation by modulating the cellular redox environment. Additionally, MGST2 has been implicated in other physiological processes, such as inflammation and cellular signaling pathways. The recombinant expression of MGST2 protein is crucial for elucidating its structure-function relationship and for developing potential therapeutic agents targeting MGST2-related pathways. Understanding the precise mechanistic roles of MGST2 can provide valuable insights into its function and potential as a biological marker or a therapeutic target, paving the way for novel strategies in cancer treatment and detoxification therapies. This makes MGST2 a focal point for ongoing biochemical and pharmacological research, with the goal of better understanding its contributions to health and disease.
