简介
Ki67/MKI67 is localized on mitotic chromosomes and maintains its dispersion during nuclear envelope disassembly. It covers a large portion of the chromosome surface and prevents chromatin from collapsing into clumps. Ki67/MKI67 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Ki-67(MKI67) protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Ki67, also known as MKI67, is a nuclear protein that is closely associated with cellular proliferation and is commonly used as a proliferation marker in oncology. The Ki67 protein is encoded by the MKI67 gene and is present during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but is absent in resting cells (G0 phase). Its expression is significantly elevated in many types of tumors, making it a valuable prognostic marker for cancer diagnosis and treatment planning. The study of Ki67/MKI67 recombinant proteins has gained traction as researchers seek to understand its role in cell cycle regulation and tumorigenesis. This research explores not only the basic biology of Ki67 but also its potential as a therapeutic target and diagnostic tool. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled the production of large amounts of purified Ki67 protein, which facilitates detailed studies on its structure, function, and interactions with other cellular proteins. Additionally, understanding the mechanisms that regulate Ki67 expression may provide insights into the dysregulation of cellular proliferation in cancer. Given its significance in cell proliferation and its association with tumor aggressiveness, Ki67 remains a focal point in cancer research, contributing to the development of novel therapeutic strategies and better patient management through personalized medicine.
