简介
Nucleoprotein/NP Protein is essential for viral replication and transcription. Nucleoprotein/NP Protein binds to viral RNA to form a ribonucleoprotein complex required for genome replication. Nucleoprotein/NP Protein promotes NLRP3 inflammasome activation to induce excessive inflammation. SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid Protein (Omicron, B.1.1.529, His) is the recombinant Virus-derived SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid (N) protein plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle, being essential for RNA encapsidation, genome packaging, and viral assembly. As one of the most abundant proteins in the virus, the N protein is a key target for diagnostic assays and vaccine development. Research into the N protein has accelerated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as it is highly immunogenic and elicits strong antibody responses in infected individuals. Understanding the structure and function of the N protein is vital for the design of effective therapeutics and vaccines. Moreover, recombinant N proteins are being utilized in serological tests to detect antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, aiding in surveillance efforts and epidemiological studies. The ongoing studies focus on characterizing the N protein's interactions with other viral components and host cell factors, as well as its potential as a biomarker for disease progression. Overall, the investigation of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid recombinants underscores their significance in combatting the ongoing pandemic and provides insights for future coronavirus-related research.
