简介
APLP-1 protein is involved in postsynaptic function and synaptic processes. Its processing produces ALID1, which activates transcription through APBB1 binding. APLP-1 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived APLP-1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
APLP-1 (Amyloid Precursor-Like Protein 1) is a member of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) family, which is implicated in various neurobiological processes including neuronal development, synaptic function, and the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. The study of APLP-1 is particularly significant due to its structural similarities with APP, suggesting potential overlapping functions in cellular signaling and protein processing. Research has indicated that APLP-1 may play a role in synaptic adhesion and neurotransmitter release, thereby influencing cognitive functions. It is also considered an important factor in the regulation of amyloid-beta generation, a key component in Alzheimer’s pathology. Investigating the molecular mechanisms of APLP-1, including its interaction with other proteins and its role in cellular pathways, could provide insights into its function in health and disease. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of APLP-1 for functional assays, structural analysis, and therapeutic exploration. Understanding APLP-1's biology could not only shed light on the underlying mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases but also pave the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting its pathways. Therefore, ongoing research into APLP-1 contributes to a broader understanding of the neurobiology of aging and neurodegeneration, highlighting its relevance in both fundamental research and clinical contexts.
