  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MAP2K4, also known as MKK4, is a dual-specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MAPKK) that plays a significant role in the MAPK signaling pathways, specifically in the activation of c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK) and p38 MAPK. This protein is crucial for various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, making it a key player in the regulation of stress responses and inflammatory signaling. Mutations and dysregulation of MAP2K4 have been implicated in several pathological conditions, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and inflammatory disorders. As a result, there has been increasing interest in understanding the functional dynamics of MAP2K4, particularly its role in tumorigenesis and cellular stress responses. Recent studies have focused on the structural characterization of MAP2K4 to elucidate its interaction with upstream regulators and downstream effectors. Additionally, the development of recombinant MAP2K4 proteins provides valuable tools for probing its biochemical properties and for exploring its potential as a therapeutic target. By generating and studying recombinant MAP2K4, researchers aim to gain insights into its regulatory mechanisms and to identify novel strategies for modulating its activity in various disease contexts. This research could pave the way for new therapeutic interventions targeting MAP2K4-related pathways, ultimately contributing to better diagnostic and treatment options for diseases involving aberrant MAPK signaling.
